Deanston 15 Year Single Malt Scotch

Deanston 15 Year Old is the mature core release from the hydro-powered Highland distillery in Doune, a converted 18th-century cotton mill that has been making unpeated single malt since 1966. Deanston is best known for its organic-certified whisky and its commitment to bottling at 92.6 proof, non-chill-filtered and naturally colored, and the 15 Year follows that house style.

Fifteen years in ex-bourbon oak deepen Deanston's honeyed, waxy spirit into a rich, rounded malt: honey, vanilla and ripe orchard fruit on the nose, then a creamy palate of toffee, malted barley, baked apple and gentle oak spice, finishing long with a soft peppery warmth. It is a refined step up from the 12 Year and a well-priced alternative to better-known Highland 15-year-olds, ideal for a slow evening pour or a thoughtful gift.
